“Finance Minister Announces Completion and Activation of Nsawam-Accra-Tema Railway Line

“During the mid-year budget review presented in Parliament on Tuesday, July 23, Finance Minister Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam underscored the government’s commitment to fostering economic growth, creating jobs, and enhancing national connectivity through extensive railway development. He announced the completion and operational status of the Nsawam – Accra – Tema railway line, with the Tema to Mpakadan line nearing full completion this year. Additionally, he outlined plans for the Kojokrom-Manso section, set to finish by the end of 2024, and highlighted the Manso – Huni Valley extension into Takoradi Port, expected by May 2026.

Dr. Amin Adam also affirmed the government’s dedication to improving the country’s road infrastructure, citing ongoing construction, upgrades, and maintenance projects nationwide. He noted significant progress across various rehabilitation initiatives.”
