Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Member of Parliament for North Tongu, supports Rock City’s decision to withdraw from bidding for four SSNIT hotels. However, he urges the Ghanaian government to completely cancel the sale.

Okudzeto Ablakwa revealed the deal and insists this is the only way to get public servants back to work. He shared his stance on social media, stating, “Rock City’s withdrawal doesn’t change our strong opposition to selling the SSNIT hotels.”

He also raised concerns about Freddie Blay’s son bidding $200 million for the hotels.

To prevent the Monday lockdown, the government must cancel the sale.

Before Rock City’s announcement, organized labor had called for a nationwide strike among public sector workers. They will only call off the strike if the government cancels the hotel sale completely.
