Unregistered Landcruiser vehicle knocks and kills motor rider

An incident involving an unregistered Toyota Landcruiser resulted in the tragic death of a motorcyclist in Kwabenakwa, a suburb of Obuasi in the Ashanti Region.

Locotvgh.com confirmed that the vehicle, driven by 37-year-old Agyeman Francis with trade plate number DV 162s-2024, was traveling from Kwabenakwa towards Obuasi. Near Asonkore, another suburb of Obuasi, Francis allegedly drove recklessly and collided head-on with an unregistered Haojin Motorbike ridden by 27-year-old Baba Asamane, who was heading towards Kwabenakwa from Obuasi.

Asamane sustained severe injuries and was immediately rushed to Obuasi SDA Hospital for treatment but unfortunately succumbed shortly after arrival. His body has been taken to Obuasi Government Hospital Mortuary for preservation and autopsy. Meanwhile, Agyeman Francis, the driver of the Landcruiser, is currently in police custody, cooperating with investigations into the incident.
