Mr. Wilson Arthur, Chairman of the MTN FA Cup Committee, has announced the prize details for this weekend’s final match. Nsoatreman FC and Bofoakwa Tano FC will compete for the prestigious trophy on Sunday, following their impressive journeys to the final.
The victorious team will not only claim the championship title but will also secure the opportunity to represent Ghana in next season’s CAF Confederation Cup.
In an interview with Akoma FM in Kumasi, Wilson Arthur confirmed that the winning team will receive Ghc80,000 immediately. Additionally, they will be awarded Ghc100,000 to support their campaign in the CAF Confederation Cup, making a total of Ghc180,000.
“We have agreed that the winners of this year’s FA Cup will get Ghc80,000, plus Ghc100,000 more to help them in the CAF Confederation Cup,” Arthur explained.
“We are currently discussing with the FA and the government to secure more funds for the club to ensure they perform well in Africa.”
The final match is set to kick off on Sunday, June 23, at 18:00 GMT at the University of Ghana Stadium.
