Following reports that Thiago Silva’s wife was calling for his dismissal, MAURICIO POCHETTINO has spoken with the Brazilian.
Last Sunday, the Chelsea manager presided over a miserable 4-2 home loss to Wolves.

The loss caused the Blues to drop to even worse position in the Premier League—11th—than they had previous year.
“It’s time to change,” Silva’s wife Belle said on social media during the game’s final moments. It will be too late if you wait any longer.”
Since then, she has refused to take down the tweet, which is still active as Chelsea gets ready to play Aston Villa in the FA Cup.
During his pre-game press conference, Pochettino responded to a question concerning Silva by saying, “He came today to talk with me.”
“I won’t communicate the way we were communicating. What matters is that he came and expressed a desire to speak with me.
“After more than a decade, he is familiar with my identity, our robust coaching staff, and our operational procedures.” He came, of course, to speak. We conversed. It was kept secret. That’s all there is to it.”
Pochettino disclosed that he had a team meeting with his players after a terrible week for the Blues.
“In a meeting today, I told the players that I trust you more than ever,” he went on.
“I will be there for you now more than ever. I’m not your typical boss. Being the leader means that I have to show my true trust in every move I take.
Naturally, we will approach this situation with the knowledge that we can bounce back and begin winning games.
Naturally, we are quite upset in the way we lost the match and in the way we played—it wasn’t how we had intended to compete or follow the strategy. However, we must continue.
The Argentine says the club’s owners have given him a lot of support.
He continued, saying, “I got a really nice text from them.
“We’re all in this together. And that’s what matters most of all.”
Silva and his spouse Belle were married in 2004.
Together, they are parents to two kids, the oldest of whom, 15-year-old Isago, was seen last year participating at Chelsea’s academy.
Under Pochettino, Silva, 39, has started all but two of Chelsea’s 23 Premier League games.
Since his contract is about to expire, he is probably going to leave at the conclusion of the season.
