The wife of Thiago Silva, a defender for Chelsea, seems to have demanded that manager Mauricio Pochettino be fired.
On Sunday afternoon, the Blues fell into the lower part of the Premier League standings after losing 4-2 to Wolves at home.
With three straight Premier League victories and a trip to the Carabao Cup final, it seemed like the Argentine head coach was making some headway.
However, a crushing defeat at the hands of Wolves at Stamford Bridge was followed by a thrashing at the hands of Liverpool.
After the game, Silva’s partner Belle, who has previously criticized Timo Werner and Graham Potter, took to social media.
She appeared to be criticizing the manager in the article while pleading with the team to make changes.
She said on X, the platform that was formerly known as Twitter: “We need to make a change.
“If you wait any longer it will be too late 💙💙.”
Many Chelsea supporters agreed with Belle’s critique and flocked to reply to the tweet.
Someone said, “Thank you for always speaking your mind.”
Another said, “I would rather you manage Chelsea!”
To which a third said, “Pochettino needs to go now.”
“Safe to assume this is also how Thiago Silva feels then,” was the response from a fourth person.
The 39-year-old Silva, who scored a late header in the loss to Wolves, has come under fire recently for his play.
Pochettino has started him in 21 of Chelsea’s 23 league games this season despite his inconsistent play.
