In a concerted effort to enhance fire safety awareness within the community, a dedicated team of fire personnel comprising operational and safety officers under the leadership of the District Fire Officer DO III Isaac Aboagye actively engaged market women, shop owners, and customers at Akim Achiase Market.
The initiative aimed to educate participants on crucial guidelines for fire prevention, preparedness, and response, particularly during the dry season.
During the interactive sessions, the team emphasized the importance of adhering to the prescribed dos and avoiding the don’ts when it comes to fire safety. Practical tips on how to effectively handle fires were also provided to empower individuals to respond efficiently in case of emergencies. The significance of maintaining a vigilant attitude towards fire safety at both home and workplace.
As part of the campaign, the team distributed emergency contact numbers and station telephone details to the participants to ensure that individuals can swiftly reach out for assistance during fire-related incidents. However, the community was also strongly advised against engaging in pranks calls.
