According to shocking rumours in Germany, MANCHESTER UNITED has made enquires about signing former Chelsea forward Timo Werner.
Erik ten Hag is looking to bolster his strike force, and the team has developed a list of potential candidates.
Additionally, Werner of RB Leipzig is reportedly coveted by Old Trafford bosses, according to Florian Plettenberg.
According to reports, United has enquired about Leipzig’s striker’s availability; however, no formal negotiations or offer have been made.
Werner struggled throughout his two years in West London after signing a £53 million contract with Chelsea in 2020.
Despite scoring just 23 goals in 89 games, he helped assist the Blues in winning the Champions League in 2021.
Werner scored 16 goals in his 40 games back in Germany before being moved back to Leipzig in the summer of 2022 for £23.5 million.
But after 13 games across all competitions, the attacker—who can play out wide or in the center—has only scored twice this season.
