Victor Osimhen’s transfer to Chelsea has been presented as a “broker” by John Obi Mikkel.

The cult favorite has offered to assist in obtaining his fellow Nigerian’s services.

Victor Osimhen’s transfer to Chelsea has been proposed to “broker” by John Obi Mikel.

Osimhen has previously been closely connected to the Blues, and Chelsea is still pressing for the 24-year-old’s signing.

But after talking with Osimhen on his Obi One podcast, Mikel is prepared to intervene and close the deal.

“I know you’re going to come to Chelsea next season,” he said to the Napoli striker.

“I’m going to be the agent to broker that deal, I promise you. I will see to it that that occurs. Since Didier Drogba left the club, we have been calling out for someone just like you.”

During his two stints with Chelsea, Drogba scored 164 goals in 381 games and twice won the Premier League Golden Boot.

Together with that, he won 16 major trophies with the team, including four league crowns and the Champions League.

Osimhen has been a long-term goal for Chelsea and other Premier League teams.

According to reports, the Blues have been “increasing pressure” on Napoli to finalize a deal, and they are eager to intensify their pursuit.

It is hoped that Osimhen can end the team’s striker problem and take Nicolas Jackson’s place in the attacking lineup for Mauricio Pochettino’s squad.

Despite leading Napoli to the Serie A championship in the previous season and scoring the most goals in the league with 26, Osimhen’s contract expires in 2025.

This season, he has maintained his form, tallying six goals in eight Serie A games prior to being sidelined in October due to a hamstring injury.
