Ghanaian football legend Asamoah Gyan expressed his commitment to focusing on the well-being of his children after the Accra High Court granted his wish for the annulment of his marriage to Gifty.

Gyan has three children with his former wife, and he intends to ensure their happiness and upbringing.

In an interview with Asempa FM, Gyan shared his immediate plans in response to the court’s decision on October 31, 2023. He revealed his contentment with the court’s ruling, stating that he was pleased with the outcome.

“The reason why we went to court was that I annulled the marriage, and my wish has been granted because the things I unravelled were the truth,” he stated, as quoted by the Daily Graphic.

Gyan further emphasised the significance of his children, saying, “The most important thing is my children. I am very, very happy with my life. I am a family man, my children like and love me, and I also love and like all of them. So that is where my focus is.”

The court’s ruling ordered Gyan to provide a monthly stipend of GHC 25,000 to his ex-wife and transfer ownership of his UK house and the one in Accra to her. Notably, these properties were already in his ex-partner’s name.

When asked if he plans to marry again, Gyan responded, “I am very, very happy with my life. I have three children that I am taking care of. I am a family man, and my kids love me, and I love them. I was frustrated by the court proceedings, and after five years, it’s finally over.”
