31-Year-Old Ghanaian Woman Stabbed To Death In The UK

According to the Metropolitan Police, a stranger stabbed Johanita Kossiwa Dogbey, a 31-year-old Ghanaian woman, to death on May 1, 2023, in Brixton’s Stockwell Park Walk in broad daylight.

 

She was reportedly talking to her grandmother on the phone and was just a few meters away from her home after purchasing a birthday present for her mother. The police and ambulance quickly arrived at the scene, but unfortunately, the victim died before receiving medical treatment.

 

A 33-year-old man named Mohamed Nur was arrested on May 3, and he has been charged with murder, possession of an offensive weapon, and three counts of causing grievous bodily harm to two women and a man.

 

The deceased was a kind and dedicated person who helped others and founded the Odette Foundation, a charity that assisted individuals with sickle cell disease in Ghana and Togo. Her family released a statement expressing their profound grief and shock at her loss.
