The Artiste of the Year at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs), Black Sherif, has responded to the allegations that the success of Sarkodie’s “Jamz” album would not have occurred without his contribution.

Black Sherif’s collaboration with Sarkodie on the song “Country Side” immediately became the most in-demand tune on the “Jamz” album, prompting some fans to assume that his participation significantly influenced the album’s overall appeal.

However, Black Sherif used the chance to address these charges in an interview with MzGee on United Showbiz, stressing that the record would have achieved its current position with or without his assistance.

“Whatever will be, was what would have been. Music has spiritual significance. Albums and singles are infants in my eyes. I’m not aware of his fate. He said in the interview, “If I wasn’t on it, I don’t know his destiny, so whatever the album would have been, would have been.

Sarkodie’s significant skills and long career were further acknowledged by Black Sherif, who pointed out that the renowned rapper had been producing songs for years before he came into the picture. He showed humility by refusing to presume to determine whether Sarkodie’s album would be a success or a failure, asking, “Am I the one to come and tell him that without me, his album will go nowhere? We don’t speak in that way.
