The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of St. Andrews Group of Companies, Prof. Richard Kofi Asiedu has revealed why he did not allow anything to distract his attention during the Assin North by-elections last year.

According to the Central Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), he refrained from responding to allegations and insults by Chairman Wontumi just to deliver victory.

He claimed that during the Assin North by-elections, he desisted from having a banter with Chairman Wontumi because the level of discourse he’d have with him might be disgraceful.

In an interview on Onua FM observed by MyNewsGh.com, he said “You remember during the Assin North election Chairman Wontumi made a lot of allegations and I was called by several media houses to respond but I never made any remarks.

“When he came to Assin North he was all over mentioning my name but I never responded to any of his allegations or insults because mine was focusing on how to win the Assin North election and I delivered.

He added “I remember on the last day of our campaign at Assin North I had calls to banter Chairman Wontumi but I desisted because the level of discourse I’ll have with him might be disgraceful”.
