We must Avoid the insertion of objects into our ears – ENT nurse specialist advises

The Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) specialist at Bechem Government Hospital in the Ahafo region has cautioned Ghanaians to be wary of how objects are inserted into their ears whenever they experience itchy and pains in the ears.

Speaking in an interview with Nana Akua Dufie on High Radio’s program dubbed Apomuden Fie, Mr. Emmanuel Asiedu reiterated the need to avoid the act of inserting objects into the ears explaining that the best place to seek relief when facing ears problem is the hospital where a specialist will diagnose and adequately care for your need.

He added that breastfeeding mothers must ensure their newly born babies respond to noise within three (3) months after childbirth and so if the baby within 6 to 12 months cannot detect noise, it will be very appropriate to send your baby to a specialist for urgent treatment because the child might be suffering from hearing impairment.

Mr. Emmanuel Asiedu finally pleaded with the entire citizenry to reduce the usage of hands-free and other electronic headsets because they all contribute enormously to hearing problems.
