Businessman and leader of the New Force, Nana Kwame Bediako known widely as Cheddar is in the news again for fumbling over the motto and anthem of his Alma mater, Accra Academy, by engaging in circumlocution rather than just admitting that he did not know the motto and anthem of the school or had forgotten them.
In a recent interview with Starr Chat, Cheddar, when asked by the host to give the motto and anthem of his school, responded that he did not go to the school to memorize the motto or anthem but to build relationships and leave footprints in the school. His prevarication instead of just admitting to the fact that he was unable to provide the answers has attracted criticism from the public.
“Some people went there to make sure they studied the motto. And some people went there to make sure they sang anthems. But some people went they to build relationships and make sure that when they left, they left footprints in the minds of people,” Cheddar boasted.
It was quite clear that he did not know the motto and anthem but would not admit to it.
The businessman had earlier confused himself and the audience when he was asked on a different platform about his profession.
