Victor Olimhen has declared that he will “definitely” compete in the Premier League, but for the time being he has “other plans.”

Numerous elite clubs in Europe were vying for the star’s services after he achieved legendary status with Napoli in the previous season.

Victor Osimhen declares he will “absolutely” participate in Premier League games.

With 26 goals in 32 top-flight games, the 24-year-old Nigerian was a major factor in ending their 33-year wait for the Serie A championship.

This season, he has maintained his scorching form in spite of multiple off-field problems.

During the summer, Chelsea and Manchester United both pursued his signature.

Though the trade never happened, Osimhen’s contentious TikTok post left Arsenal and the Premier League pair on notice that Osimhen would sue his employers in September 2023.

Subsequently, it was revealed that Chelsea was in the lead in their attempt to sign him in the January transfer window.

Osimhen, however, allayed speculation that he would leave by signing a new deal with the Italian team that will keep him there through at least 2026.

Currently serving for the Africa Cup of Nations, he scored in Nigeria’s opening Group A match draw with Equatorial Guinea, 1-1.

When he appeared before the media later on, one of the topics posed to him was if he wanted to play in the Premier League.

In response, Osimhen said, “Of course, one day, definitely, but for the time being, I have other career plans I am looking forward to.”

“Everyone will know when the time comes.”

Furthermore, he maintained that he had never had any issues with Aurelio De Laurentiis, the president of Napoli.

“I am happy with the president,” he continued. He has been with me since I signed with the club in 2020, therefore I can honestly say that we get along well.

I get along well with his family as well. No matter what has happened, it is always crucial to me to make sure that the relationship with him and his family is in order.

“He has encouraged me off the field, and naturally, I’m doing everything in my power to win the Scudetto with them.”
