Personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service Upper West Region embarked on a Route March through the principal streets in the Wa Municipality to celebrate its gallant and fallen heroes who lost their lives in the line of duty to mark the 2023 edition of International Fire Fighters’ Day.
The Deputy Regional Fire Commander, ACFO II Eugene Asagye-Kye and the Regional Safety Officer, DO ll Timothy Ayireke led the team with other Sectional Heads to embark on the Route March.
The public was educated on the essence of the float and also on how to prevent domestic and bush fires. The Officers carried placards with fire safety messages on the float. Kudos ✊🏽🔥✌🏽to Radio Mak who also offered airtime for public sensitization on the need to appreciate the efforts of Firefighters.
