Two clubs in the Premier League are interested in NOTTINGHAM FOREST boss Steve Cooper.

With Forest, Cooper has presided over a dismal run of results. In their previous nine Premier League games, they have lost four and won just one.

Steve Cooper has led Nottingham Forest through a dismal run of performance.

Forest manager Cooper is being watched by Crystal Palace and West Ham.

Though there are no signs of a possible dismissal, the Welsh tactician’s status at the Tricky Trees is being monitored by two Premier League teams, as they need to improve their record.

West Ham and Crystal Palace are reportedly considering bids for the 43-year-old should he become available, according to talkSPORT.

Cooper has long been admired by Palace owner Steve Parish, who would give him significant consideration to succeed Roy Hodgson.

The Eagles are 10 points clear of the relegation zone thanks to Hodgson’s excellent work at Selhurst Park this season, but the former England manager’s contract expires in June.

The same is true for West Ham manager David Moyes, therefore in case the former Manchester United head coach decides not to extend, the Hammers may need to find a replacement.

Cooper, who took over at Nottingham in 2021 when the squad was last in the Championship, is highly sought after by both teams.

But the former England Under-17 boss quickly put things right, leading Forest to the play-offs.

That led to Nottingham’s promotion to the Premier League in Cooper’s first season as manager, following a 23-year hiatus.

The team had a rough start to the previous campaign, and there were whispers that club owner Evangelos Marinakis was thinking of firing the Welshman.

Nevertheless, Marinakis persisted in his belief and gave the former Swansea manager a fresh deal that would last until 2025.

Cooper paid it forward by helping Forest avoid relegation in their first Premier League season following their return.

Although Nottingham hasn’t exactly been spectacular this season, they are now eight points clear of the drop zone and are less likely to face relegation again.
