TEXT: Ecclesiastes 3:11 (NIV) – “He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.”
MEMORY VERSE: Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NIV) – “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.”
As human beings, we often have our own timelines and plans for our lives. We set goals and deadlines, and we become anxious and frustrated when things don’t happen according to our timeline. But the reality is that God’s timing is not our timing. His ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts are higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9).
In Ecclesiastes 3:11, the writer reminds us that God has made everything beautiful in its time. This means that God has a perfect plan for our lives, and His timing is always perfect. When we trust in God’s timing, we can have peace and confidence that He is in control, even when things don’t make sense to us.
Trusting in God’s timing requires us to have faith and patience. We need to trust that God knows what is best for us, and that He will work everything out for our good (Romans 8:28). We need to be patient and wait on the Lord, knowing that He is faithful to fulfill His promises (Psalm 27:14).
So if you’re feeling frustrated or anxious about the timing of things in your life, I encourage you to surrender your timeline to God. Trust in His perfect plan for your life, and have faith that He will bring everything to fruition in His timing. Remember, God has set eternity in your heart, and He has a beautiful plan for your life.
Prayer:
Dear God, help us to trust in Your perfect timing for our lives. Give us the faith and patience we need to wait on You and to surrender our plans to Your will. Help us to remember that You have a beautiful plan for our lives, and that Your ways are higher than our ways. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
