There should be Transparency in Ghana’s Recruitment Process” – Security Analyst
Security analyst Emmanuel Kotin has called for fairness and transparency in the ongoing recruitment into Ghana’s security services, following concerns over the 105,000 applicants advancing to the medical stage despite only 5,000 final slots. He warned against political interference, stressing it could undermine professionalism within the security services.
Kotin appealed to President Mahama to ensure the process is free from party influence and criticized the Interior Minister’s recent comments. He also urged the President to appoint retired security professionals to key positions in the Interior and Defence ministries to protect the integrity of Ghana’s security institutions.
He warned that continued politicization could weaken the security architecture, turning the sector into one driven by political connections.
