Ghana international Tariq Lamptey has resumed training at Brighton and Hove Albion after shaking off an injury.

The Black Stars defender suffered an injury setback while in action for Brighton during a UEFA Europa League game against Olympique Marseille on October 5, 2023, and has since not been active for the Premier League club.

Lampety has missed a couple of games for both club and country due to injury. The defender missed the Black Stars international friendlies against Mexico and the USA last month.

He also missed the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Madagascar and Comoros because of the injury setback.

But Lamptey has fully recovered and is now back in training with Brighton squad.

His return from injury comes as a huge boost for both Brighton and the Black Stars of Ghana. He is expected to be included in the Black Stars team for the upcoming 2023 Africa Cup of Nations tournament to be played between January and February 2024 in Ivory Coast.
