In January, Tottenham hopes to pull off a spectacular £25 million raid for Arthur Vermeeren, the teenage prodigy from Belgium.
The 18-year-old midfielder for Royal Antwerp was instrumental in helping the team win its first Pro League championship in 66 years the previous season.

This season, scouts from Chelsea, Arsenal, and Spurs have all visited Vermeeren’s home game.
Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund, and Bayern Munich are also showing interest in him.
Spurs, however, have jumped ahead of the pack because they want a deal like the one that brought Destiny Udogie to North London eighteen months ago.
Spurs loaned left-back Udogie back to Udinese in Italy after paying a significant portion of the £18 million transfer cost up front.
Since then, the Italian has flourished at Tottenham, where he has made 15 appearances so far this season.
The 21-year-old Udogie has also made a name for himself with his country, making his debut in October against Malta.
Vermeeren, on the other hand, has made 64 appearances for Royal Antwerp.
Throughout their Champions League run this season, he participated in every minute of play and even scored in their 3-2 victory over Barcelona.
Similar to Udogie, he debuted internationally in October.
Against Austria, the midfielder was awarded his first senior Belgium cap.
When Spurs play Brighton on Thursday night, they will be back in action.
Despite a horrific run of injuries, Ange Postecoglou’s team was only four points off the top spot going into Christmas, sitting fourth in the standings.
Richarlison’s four goals in three games—the most recent one coming in their 2-1 victory against Everton on Saturday—have been their biggest source of inspiration recently.
