Dancehall artiste and businessman Shatta Wale has filed a GH₵100 million defamation lawsuit against social commentator Blakk Rasta at the High Court in Accra.

The suit follows a video published on December 15, 2025, titled “Shatta Wale, self-confessed king of fraud,” which the musician says contains false and malicious allegations that have damaged his reputation.
According to court documents, Shatta Wale argues that the video, which gained massive attention online, portrayed him as a fraudster and criminal — claims he strongly denies. He insists the publication has caused reputational harm and affected his family, fans, and business relationships.
Shatta Wale is seeking a court declaration that the statements are defamatory, the permanent removal of the video, a public retraction and apology, and GH₵100 million in damages, plus costs.
The case is currently before the High Court, Accra, with Blakk Rasta expected to respond within the required legal timeframe.
