Mrs Angel Acquah Bertino, a mother with autism child called on parents to accept their child with disability as part of God’s creatures.
She made the speech when She paid a courtesy call to the Orthopedic Training Center (OTC) in Nsawam with her child Young Phil Bertino who is Africa’s Autistic Professional cyclist together with their team Liztino Center for children with special needs to donate books branded with her child’s picture and other items.
The manager for Young Phil Bertino Mr Peter Nyaba added that, some parents hide their children with disabilities but Mrs Angel Bertino realized her child had potentials but with Autism Spectrum Disorder, she nurtured his talent and believes through that it will take the child very far.
The PRO for the Orthopedic Training Center (OTC) in Nsawam Mr Asante Eleazer thanked the Liztino Center for the children with special needs and called on stake holders, NGO’s, Organizations, foundations, and other embassies to come to their aid.
In addition to his voice, he advised people to stop looking down on person with disability and finally encouraged them that there is hope.
