NPP Will Remain in Power If We Win the 2024 Election – Napo

Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, Vice Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has declared that the party will remain in power if it wins the 2024 general election. Speaking at Abby’s Park in Kumasi on Saturday, September 14, 2024, after a health walk organized by the Manhyia South Constituency, he stated that the NPP would continue its democratic rule, positioning itself as Ghana’s dominant political force.

Dr. Prempeh emphasized that once NPP’s presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and running mate, Lawyer Nana Agyei Baffour Awuah, win the upcoming December 7 election, subsequent governments after 2028 would also be NPP-led.

“After Dr. Bawumia and Lawyer Baffour win, there won’t be any more elections because another NPP government will take over after 2028,” he remarked.

He stressed the significance of the 2024 elections, calling it the “mother of all elections” as it provides an opportunity for the NPP to secure long-term dominance in Ghanaian politics, effectively sidelining the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Dr. Prempeh joined the health walk to rally support for his successor and NPP parliamentary candidate for Manhyia South, Lawyer Nana Agyei Baffour Awuah, in preparation for the 2024 elections.
