Chelsea’s ace Nicolas Jackson expressed his regret to the supporter he rowed with during Brentford’s loss.

Ethan Pinnock and Bryan Mbeumo goals at Stamford Bridge last month had the Blues down 2-0 against the Bees.

The supporter Nicolas Jackson rowed with against Brentford has received his apology.

Jackson went to his manager, Mauricio Pochettino, on the touchline during the Premier League match to ask for instructions.

The striker was then heard to hear a home supporter yell, “Hey Jackson, wake up! How come you don’t score a goal?

The Senegal international, who had trouble hitting the goal in his first few months at Stamford Bridge, reacted badly, perhaps putting his finger to his mouth to quiet the supporter.

Pochettino was heard shouting, “Support the team!” to the home crowd in response to the comment, which he found offensive as well.

Jackson has already apologized to the fan, acknowledging that he allowed himself to become overly irritated.

The 22-year-old acknowledged that after four years at Villarreal, he’s still getting used to adjusting to a bigger club.

Former strikers Peter Crouch and Alan Shearer have criticized Jackson’s goal-scoring instincts.

The Senegalese player, though, is adamant that he won’t respond to them, choosing instead to emulate Manchester United great Cristiano Ronaldo and let his skill speak for itself.

Jackson apologized to the fan in an interview with The Telegraph. This is something I have never had before.

Since Villarreal is a different team, there is less pressure on players there, but I am sure that their motivation is sound.

“Normally, I avoid talking to fans or letting their comments divert my attention. I’m not sure what hit me. Frustration must have been the reason.

“Everyone at the game expects you to do what they want you to, so it’s not a trivial matter. Rather than because they despise you, it’s because they love you. They desire for you to provide them joy. I am aware of that now.

Jackson promised that, like Cristiano Ronaldo, he would now let his skill speak for itself.

“I was in Villarreal, but the surroundings were different. These kinds of stuff aren’t present there. It’s not the same in Chelsea.

“Cristiano would receive criticism when he scored thirty or thirty-five goals in a season. He would always react with a celebration and you would never hear him talk about it.

Thus, it has no effect on me. He’s teaching me, and I would never respond negatively to criticism. I trust in myself and I know what I am capable of.”
