NEWCASTLE has reportedly found a possible replacement for Miguel Almiron and is preparing for life without the winger.

The 29-year-old Paraguayan is still an important member of Eddie Howe’s team, having started 18 of The Magpies’ 21 Premier League games this year.

There are rumors that Miguel Almiron will relocate to Saudi Arabia at the end of January.

In the upcoming months, Eddie Howe might lose a number of players.

However, The Telegraph claims that a move to the Saudi Pro League is planned and may occur before the end of the January transfer season.

It is believed that Middle Eastern clubs would rekindle their interest in the former Atalanta player come summertime if Newcastle manages to cling onto him this month.

Meanwhile, the Toon are keeping an eye on Nottingham Forest forward Morgan Gibbs-White in anticipation of Almiron’s departure.

With three goals and three assists in 20 league games this season, the 23-year-old has been Forest’s standout player.

Due to an abdominal injury, he is now out of commission; nonetheless, Newcastle has already “scouted him extensively” this season.

But even though Howe’s men are monitoring his circumstances, Forest is probably going to reject any offer for Gibbs-White.

Alternatively, Newcastle may choose to acquire Amadou Onana of Everton as a new midfield player as a result of the January sale of Almiron.

This is due to the fact that Newcastle is expecting a large-scale exodus at the end of the campaign, with Joelinton and Bruno Guimaraes among the potential exits.

How Newcastle might lineup if they retain Almiron following the January transfer window

The 26-year-old Guimaraes has drawn interest from Paris Saint-Germain and hopes to play in Spain in the future.

Joelinton will also be entering the last 12 months of his contract because he declined to sign a new one until he was the highest paid player at the team.

Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid, respectively, have made offers for Kieran Trippier and Callum Wilson.

Additionally, Newcastle is already struggling with a number of injury issues.

There are several reasons why Wilson, Jacob Murphy, Matt Targett, Elliot Anderson, Harvey Barnes, Joelinton, and Sandro Tonali are not playing.
