As the political landscape heats up ahead of the 2024 elections, Captain Nathaniel Anderson, Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Awutu Senya West, has confidently declared, “We are coming back for our Winneba seat!” He made this bold assertion on the popular GHANA WONSOM Morning Show on Ideal 96.7 FM, hosted by renowned broadcaster BIC Abeiku Okai.

Captain Anderson emphasized that the Efutu Constituency, which encompasses Winneba, has historically been an NDC stronghold. Although the current political landscape may suggest otherwise, he assured listeners that the NDC is determined to reclaim the seat from the incumbent New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament and Majority Leader, Hon. Afenyo Markins.

This statement of intent from Captain Anderson comes ahead of the NDC’s manifesto launch in the Efutu Constituency, scheduled for this Saturday, 24th August 2024. The manifesto launch is expected to outline the party’s vision and plans for the constituency and the country at large.

The NDC’s decision to launch their manifesto in Efutu Constituency is seen as a strategic move to reconnect with their grassroots supporters and demonstrate their commitment to reclaiming the seat. With the party’s sights set on retaking the Winneba seat, the stage is set for a thrilling contest that will likely capture the attention of political enthusiasts across Ghana.
