The NDC caucus in Parliament has urged the Speaker of Parliament to reject calls for a recall of Parliament.

In a memo to the Speaker sighted by MyNewsGh.com, the NDC caucus argues that the recall is ill-timed and unnecessary considering the times the country is in.

To them, they cannot truncate their engagements and come bac to Parliament on November 28 and 29, 2024.

The NDC caucus wants Parliament to rather focus on ensuring that the country has a peaceful election on December 7, 2024.

To them, coming back to Parliament will fuel the existing rift and therefore believe that the recall must be done after the 2024 elections, where they will sit and discuss the way forward.
