Meet Minority’s ‘crack team’ to debate Dr Bawumia in Parliament

The Minority in Parliament says it has assembled a crack team of seven to debate the Vice President and flagbearer for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.

According to the minority, since the NPP flagbearer has been craving a debate, they believe debating the mid-year budget review statement on the floor of Parliament will afford him the needed opportunity to debate on the economy.

They say this debate is in line with their parliamentary rules, which allow the Vice President to join Parliamentarians in their debates in Parliament.

The crack team is made up of seven parliamentarians who they believe have what it takes to floor the Vice President.

The team is made up of :

• Hon Isaac Adongo – Ranking Member, Finance Committee
• Hon Thomas Ampem Nyarko – Chairman, Budget Committee
• Hon John Abdulai Jinapor – Ranking Member, Committee on Energy and Member of
  the Finance Committee
• Hon Eric Opoku – Ranking Member, Food, Agriculture and Cocoa Affairs, and
  Member of the Committee on Economy and Development
• Hon Laadi Ayii Ayamba – Member, Finance Committee and Ecowas Parliament
• Hon Joseph Bukari Nikpe – Ranking Member, Committee on Employment, Social
  Welfare and Pensions
• Hon George Kweku Ricketts-Hagan – Chairman, Committee on Economy and
  Development
