Concerns Raised by Prophet Kumchacha Regarding Phone Usage in Church
Prophet Nicholas Osei, widely known as Kumchacha, the founder and leader of Heaven’s Gate Ministry, has voiced apprehension regarding the prevalent use of phones during church services. He expressed worry over the increasing accessibility to pornography and the distracting nature of phone usage among congregants.
During an interview on Accra-based OKAY FM, Kumchacha emphasized the shift away from traditional Bible-carrying to reliance on smartphones among churchgoers. He highlighted instances where individuals engage in inappropriate activities, such as watching pornography, instead of participating in the service.
Acknowledging the evolving landscape of worship practices, Kumchacha suggested the need for adaptation while cautioning against the negative impacts of modern technology on religious gatherings.
