Callum Wilson has become a surprise transfer target for Manchester United, Arsenal, and Chelsea.

The striker may sign a low-cost contract to depart Newcastle before the January transfer window closes.

Callum Wilson may decide to leave Newcastle prior to the transfer window closing.

Last week, Wilson was connected to an unexpected transfer to AC Milan following rumors that the Magpies had turned down an offer from Atletico Madrid.

But he might still depart from St. James’ Park before the February 1 Premier League transfer deadline.

The Standard reports that Wilson might fetch £18 million from Newcastle this month.

The article also states that Chelsea, Arsenal, and United are aware of his availability.

According to reports, all three teams are eager to add a new striker, with Chelsea apparently keeping an eye on Jhon Duran of Aston Villa.

SunSport, meanwhile, disclosed how United withdrew from the competition to acquire Karim Benzema due to the French legend’s salary demands.

In the most recent edition of Footballer’s Football Podcast, Wilson discussed speculation over his future with Michail Antonio.

He clarified, saying, “January. The window is open and there’s always conjecture among players—not just about myself, but about every member of the team as well. Other than that, I don’t have much more to say.”

The 31-year-old signed a contract extension in September, so he still has 18 months left on it.

Despite previous hamstring issues, Wilson has scored eight goals this season; however, he is currently out due to a calf ailment.

In 102 games since moving from Bournemouth to Newcastle in 2020, the England international has scored 46 goals.

Making a move in January would help him get into Gareth Southgate’s squad for Euro 2024.

Since making his debut in 2018, Wilson has amassed nine caps and scored twice.
