Ghana’s President Akufo-Addo has mocked former President John Dramani Mahama.
Akufo-Addo, along with key NPP members, visited the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu.
They went to announce Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh, former Minister of Education and Energy, as the running mate for Vice President Bawumia, the NPP’s flagbearer.
During the visit, President Akufo-Addo spoke to the participants and Otumfuo, mocking the former president.
He said he had been elected president twice and hoped his vice president, Bawumia, and Napo would continue his work.
Akufo-Addo believes only Bawumia and Napo can improve Ghana for its citizens.
He subtly criticized Mahama, pointing out that Mahama had only been president once.
Akufo-Addo noted that some are trying hard to win the presidency again but are being blocked, leading to frustration and vindictive behavior.
