Black Stars forward, Antoine Semenyo’s birthday wish is to help Ghana win the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
The AFC Bournemouth attacker turned 24 on Sunday, January 7. The striker was celebrated by his Ghana teammates as the team prepares for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Kumasi.
Semenyo was presented with a cake before delivering a short speech about his ambitions with the national team.
“I just want to say thank you guys. Thank you for the cake, the singing. I just want to say let’s win the game tomorrow and let’s win AFCON,” he said.
The 24-year-old is expected to play a key role for the Black Stars in Ivory Coast, as Ghana eye an end to their 42-year AFCON drought.
The lanky forward, who was born in England, switched allegiance to play for Ghana in 2022.
Semenyo is enjoying a good campaign in England with Bournemouth, having made five goals contributions in 16 Premier League games this season.
