Percival Kofi Akpaloo, the founder and head of the Liberal Party of Ghana, has claimed that former president John Dramani Mahama has experience but lacks the ability and vision to lead Ghana once more.
In the approaching general elections, he has emphasized that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) 2024 presidential candidate has nothing fresh to offer, advising voters not to take that into consideration.
After the former president’s resounding victory in the NDC presidential primaries, he made these remarks.
Kojo Bonsu, a former mayor of Kumasi, lost to Mr. Mahama after receiving 99% of the votes cast by over 335,000 delegates.
The result demonstrates that he still has a significant following inside the NDC despite stepping down as president in 2017 after more than four years in office.
In response to Mahama’s victory, Kofi Akpaloo stated that while he could continue to enjoy strong support within the NDC, he could not be re-elected.
He argued that John Mahama lacks the vision and skills necessary to transform Ghana’s economic downturns and that the country needs a visionary leader who can accomplish it.
“Mahama has the experience because he was President before, but he lacks the vision to rescue Ghana from the economic crisis,” says one observer.
He repeated, “Mahama is an old guy now, and as the Bible predicted in Joel 2:28 that your old men would have dreams, therefore Mahama is dreaming and can never be president in Ghana again.
Kofi Akpaloo predicted that the LPG would triumph in the 2024 general elections, form the new government, and transform Ghana with better policies.
Because the two major political parties in Ghana have consistently disappointed the people down, he urged the electorate to support him as the country’s next president.
