K.G Pupils of AME Zion school go on their knees to plead with the government for a new school building

The KG students of AME Zion school at Buni, A suburb of Jaman North District of the Bono region have knelt to beg the District Chief Executive, the member of parliament for the Jaman North constituency and the president to as a matter of urgency construct for them a new classroom block to replace their dilapidated block because it impedes effective teaching and learning.

During a media visit to the school, the pupils spoke to Angel News expressing worry about how they find things difficult during the rainy season stressing that when it rains, the poor nature of the school block compels them to sit and learn in the mud under a thatch-roofed building which always affects teaching and learning hence, they are pleading for new classroom block.

On his part, the assembly member for Buni Electoral area, Hon. Okyere Bediako Charles also pleaded with the Jaman North Education Directorate, the DCE, and the member of Parliament, Hon. Frederick Yaw Ahenkwaa to come to their rescue as soon as possible because the deplorable nature of the school building is a threat to the lives of the teachers and the learners.

 

 

In addition to the Assembly member’s please, a unit Committee member of the Buni Electoral Area, Mr. Cosmos Adu expressed strong displeasure to the leadership in the Jaman North District for turning deaf ears to their countless petitions over the death trap building that houses the KG pupils.

Assembly member

He pleaded with the government and other non-profit organizations to come to their aid in the construction of new classroom blocks for the young ones for adequate educational excellence.
