Former President of Ghana and flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Mahama, recently paid a visit to various voter registration centres in the Greater Accra Region. The visit was aimed at observing the ongoing registration exercise and also interacting with party stakeholders and members at the centres.
Accompanying Mr. Mahama were Dr. Omane Boamah, the NDC Director of Elections and IT, Zenator Rawlings, the Member of Parliament for Korley Klottey Constituency, Hon Nii Ashie Moore, the Greater Regional Chairman, Hon Theophilus Tetteh Chair, the Regional Secretary, and other party officials.
During his visit, Mr. Mahama urged party supporters and members to fully participate in the voter registration exercise. He also expressed confidence in the NDC’s chances of winning the upcoming presidential and parliamentary elections.
The visit comes at a crucial time as the country prepares for the general elections on December 7th 2024. The NDC is hoping to unseat the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and regain power after losing the 2016 elections.
