Former Minority Leader, Haruna Iddrisu has expressed worry over the kind of economy John Dramani Mahama will inherit after winning the 2024 elections.
He says the John and Jane leadership may not be able to borrow any money in their first 24 months in power because of the current mismanagement by the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo-led government.
“John Dramani Mahama and Professor Jane will inherit a troubled economy and may not even be able to borrow in the next 24 months. That is the nature of the economy we are likely to inherit. The NDC will have to come into government with implementable ideas not to come and think of what to do,” he said.
To Haruna Iddrisu, the current state of the economy makes the lives and future of the youth in the country very bleak and worrying.
He, therefore, used the opportunity to call on the youth of Ghana to change the leadership of the country in order to bring in a new leadership that will change the course of the country and ensure that their dream and aspirations are made reality.
