International Republican Institute’s Vice President Meets Ghana’s Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament

In a bid to foster international relations and enhance the understanding between political counterparts, the Vice President of the International Republican Institute (IRI), paid a courtesy call on the Second Deputy Speaker of Ghana’s Parliament, Hon. Andrew Asiamah Amoako. The meeting, held at the Parliament House, provided an opportunity to discuss various issues of mutual interest and collaboration.

Hon. Andrew Asiamah Amoako, who represents the Fomena Constituency in Parliament, warmly received his guest and expressed his gratitude to the IRI for their continuous support and engagement in promoting democratic governance, civic education, and political participation in Ghana.

During the meeting, both parties discussed the current political landscape in Ghana, focusing on the upcoming general elections and the importance of ensuring a transparent and inclusive electoral process. The IRI’s Vice President acknowledged Ghana’s commitment to democratic ideals and praised the collaborative efforts between the IRI and Ghana’s government in strengthening governance and political institutions.
