According to rumors, Manchester United will not be looking to replace Erik ten Hag with Gareth Southgate.
Southgate resigned as England’s manager following his team’s 2-1 loss to Spain in the Euro 2024 championship game.

He had been associated with the United position for a while, since Ten Hag appeared to have an uncertain future.
However, Sir Jim Ratcliffe and the Old Trafford board made the decision to remain with the Dutchman after a summer of consideration.
Ratcliffe and company at United admire Southgate, but he may no longer be considered as Ten Hag’s replacement in the future.
Rather, the Daily Mail claims that former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel would be next in line for the position.
This is true even though Tuchel already had a job interview with Ratcliffe this summer, but the agreement fell through.
Although the two met in Monaco, it’s thought that Ratcliffe felt the German needed a vacation from football.
Tuchel was fired from Chelsea a year after the team won the Champions League with them in 2021.
At the end of the previous season, he went to Bayern Munich, where he won the Bundesliga in 2023.

Tuchel is rumored to be interested in returning to England for any Premier League position that suits him.
However, he is also open to accepting the England position, as reported by SunSport.
Graham Potter, who was fired by Chelsea in September of last year, is currently the front-runner to follow Southgate.
