Ibrahim Mahama’s Generous Donation Offers Relief to Victims of Dam Spillage

In a heartfelt gesture of compassion, Chief Executive Officer of Engineers & Planners and Dzata Cement, Mr. Ibrahim Mahama, has extended a helping hand to victims affected by the recent Dam spillage incident. On Tuesday, October 24, Mr. Ibrahim Mahama and his team visited the affected communities to deliver a substantial donation of relief items, offering some solace to those afflicted by the flooding.

Upon their arrival, Mr. Ibrahim Mahama and his team were warmly welcomed at a durbar attended by chiefs, queen mothers, local government officials, Members of Parliament, and the resilient people of the affected communities. The durbar, held at GP JHS park in Mepe, provided an opportunity for the community to express their gratitude and appreciation for the support they were about to receive.

Mr. Ibrahim Mahama’s donation is the largest contribution received thus far, either by an individual or an institution, aimed at assisting the affected communities. The relief items donated include 20,000 bags of 5kg rice, 24,000 cans of mackerel, 12,000 bottles of cooking oil, 400 packs of water, and 1,000 pieces of student mattresses. These items are intended to alleviate some of the challenges faced by those who have been forced to seek shelter in schools, tents, churches, and mosques due to the devastating floods caused by the Akosombo Dam spillage.

Expressing gratitude on behalf of the community, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for North Tongu, Hon. Divine Osborn K Fenu, extended heartfelt thanks to Mr. Ibrahim Mahama and his team for their immense and timely donation. He emphasized how this act of kindness has brought smiles and hope to the residents of the affected communities who are currently facing significant challenges.

Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, speaking on behalf of the Members of Parliament representing the affected communities, conveyed their gratitude to Mr. Ibrahim Mahama and his team for their unwavering support. He assured the benefactor that the relief items would be distributed equitably to ensure that every impacted community received their fair share.
