Celebrated former student of Opoku Ware Senior High School and National Science and Maths Quiz(NSMQ) champion, Dr Paul Azunre has revealed that he smokes marijuana( also known as weed or wee) because he sees it as medicine.
The innovator in Artificial Intelligence (AI), who is also a singer, disclosed that wee saved his life when he was in the United States of America(USA) pursuing his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree and suffered from stress and depression.
He made the revelation in an interview with Blakk Rasta on 3FM’s Urban Blend show Friday, June 14, 2024, when Blakk Rasta asked him what weed does for him.
“I think it’s medicine. Yeah so I can think… sometimes I say there were times in my life that it may have saved it. Because I was going through depression. I couldn’t eat. I couldn’t sleep. Just staying awake for days and days. During those moments, it allowed me to sleep, stop stressing about things, that in the big picture, don’t matter and to have an appetite,” he told Blakk Rasta.
Dr Azunre stressed that he only smokes marijuana but doesn’t take it in other forms since those other ways did not help him.
