I met this guy who I got in a talking stage with despite him being a year younger (26). he is so matured. He invited me on a date at his house and he told me to bring along my friends so he could cook for us and talk. It made sense to me so I agreed and set the date with him and told my friends with whom I rent. We were four girls. We are all working but different companies. We rented in Accra so we contributed and rented a two-bedroom together. Two girls in each room. So when the day came I got ready and this guy made a car come pick us up. He has a guy who works for him as an Uber driver. Work and pay kinda thing. He came and picked us up.
During the ride, we kept asking how the boss was and stuff and the guy had only good stuff to say about him. Like you could see he loved working for him. He even told us that the car he is using now he has already finished paying but because of how the boss has helped him before he is working an additional 3 months to just dash home. We got to the house at East Legon and the mansion ooo with neat swimming pool. My eyes widened at 26!!? How did he do it? Thoughts run through my head?
So like a true gentleman he came out to meet us gave me a hug and showed us inside the house took us on a tour. Two-story house, 6 bedrooms. The ground floor was a big lounge and an open kitchen. The house is fully smart oo. That was my first time seeing the conduction stove(that glass stove). The house was nice but if you see this guy, he looks simple when we saw him for the first time. One of my friends was like “He is short”. So the driver herself looked back at her. That was the first red flag. I should have just sent my friends away.
After the tour, he offered us wine cuz he said he doesn’t drink alcohol. We took it in a bucket of ice and served ourselves. He was in the kitchen finishing
up our dinner so during the drinking of the wine, this same friend of mine literally went to the guys cabinet and she saw Hennessy there noorh she was like “but you have Hennessy and you said you don’t drink alcohol-men can lie”
He just calmly explained that he has foreign business partners who take in alcohol so the henny is reserved for them only for this girl to ask if she can drink it and he agreed the henny wasn’t much but this girl finished it. She poured herself a whole glass and gulped it down. l was trying so hard to caution her since his back was turned on us and her reply was that “he has money, he will buy some”
When we were still waiting for him. This girl and her accomplice were just moving about the house touching things. They even tripped over a socket on the floor. His house has sockets on the floor (never seen that before)
25 mins later, he had finished and he served us. Some jollof, grilled meat and chicken, some gravy stew, some coleslaw home made orange juice, grilled sausages. He asked me to bring my friends oo. he said he wanted me to feel okay since it was at his house. This guy prepared a very well-executed buffet for us. The food was so nice that my friends started videos, snap and things. He served it like how rich people do om movies nu. They’ll serve it a big bowl and then the plates will be neat. You’ll scoop what you want. When he served it he had a small portion of fried pork that he said it was for him cuz he knows not everyone likes pork. It was like 7pieces of pork chops. Can u believe this my friend asked him for some and he gave all to her. So during the dinner (the food was so good) as we were all eating. He asked the names of my friends. He introduced himself properly what he does and stuff. The moment he finished noorh the other girl was like “I hope we don’t have running stomach later oo”.. He smiled and said “oh nooo”. So l asked him where he learnt how to cook. This was where everything scattered.
He narrated his childhood being from a broken home and how the divorce started. How he had to take care of his kid brother alone and had to learn how to cook for them to survive. No sooner had he finished talking oo the first girl was like “I hope you aren’t a womanizer like that your father oo” My eyes went wideeee. Even the other girl was shocked. He replied rhat ooh naa.
After eating, we watched a nice movie and it was time to go cuz it was a bit late. He told me he had packaged some food for me. He gave it to me and gave the driver his own food which he had packaged. We sat in the car the two girls were like “Eii bra we are leaving just like that?, Are you stingy anaa?”
My heart was boiling but I had to keep my composure. After they said that he went to get his wallet and took out ¢100there noor the girl was like “Just 100” He was like it’s for each. He gave all of us ¢100 then said bye and we left.
In all this, those two girls I will mention thier name’s (Atswei and Joyce) who are even older than me were the ones messing up. We all work. The two work at DVLA. I work with Mecado Construction and the youngest amongst us works with a Guinness Depot. It happened just this Saturday oo. Just this Saturday oo. The youngest girl was soo composed.. She didn’t talk throughout the whole thing. Not even cough mpo
