ANATHALLO DEVOTION #005
with Apostle Abeiku Okai
25th April, 2023
TOPIC: Hope for the Hopeless
TEXT: “Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation and my God.” – Psalm 42:11 (ESV)
MEMORY VERSE: “I can do all things through him who strengthens me.” – Philippians 4:13 (ESV)
When we feel hopeless, it can be easy to give up and lose sight of the good things in life. However, as Christians, we have hope in God, who can give us strength and guide us through even the toughest of times. In Psalm 42:11, the Psalmist asks why his soul is in turmoil and reminds himself to put his hope in God. We too must turn to God when we feel hopeless and trust that He will give us the strength to persevere.
In Philippians 4:13, we are told that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. No matter how difficult our circumstances may be, we can find hope and strength in God’s love and power. Let us not give up or lose hope, but instead, let us turn to God and trust in His promises.
Let us pray: Dear God, we come to You today feeling hopeless and defeated. We ask for Your strength and guidance as we face the challenges of life. Help us to put our hope in You and to trust in Your love and power. We know that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us, and we thank You for Your unfailing love and grace. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
