The Member of Parliament for Essikado-Ketan Constituency, Dr. Grace Ayensu, has marked a historic milestone in the constituency’s educational development with the sod-cutting ceremony for multiple major infrastructure projects across three senior high schools.

The projects include the construction of a two-storey girls’ dormitory at Essipong Technical School, a two-storey girls’ dormitory at Methodist Senior High School, and at Diabene Senior High Technical School, a two-storey girls’ dormitory, a two-storey boys’ dormitory, as well as a three-storey 18-unit classroom block. Each of the dormitory facilities will also feature a two-bedroom apartment complete with a kitchen and living room for the housemaster and housemistress, ensuring adequate on-campus accommodation for supervisory staff.

Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Ayensu described the projects as more than just physical structures, emphasizing that they symbolize opportunity, dignity, and a renewed commitment to investing in the future of children within the constituency. She noted that expanding boarding facilities and classroom space would help reduce congestion, create a more conducive learning environment, and promote academic excellence.
