Congolese midfielder Glid Otanga is set to leave Hearts of Oak for a second-division club in Qatar.

Otanga departed Accra on July 13th, 2024, and will travel to Congo before heading to Qatar to complete the transfer.

According to Ghanasportspage.com, an undisclosed transfer fee has been agreed upon between Hearts of Oak and the Qatari club.

Otanga’s contract with the Ghanaian club expires in August 2024, and he has opted not to renew.

Since joining Hearts of Oak in 2022, Otanga has established himself as a key player, contributing to their FA Cup victory in 2022.

His impressive performances attracted the attention of the Qatari team.

This move marks a new chapter in Otanga’s career. The 22-year-old previously played for Akonangui FC (Equatorial Guinea) and Coton Sport FC de Garoua (Cameroon), experiences that have prepared him for this significant step.
