Graceland Academy, one of the top-performing schools in part of Ga South Municipal Assembly and Ewutu senya East, specifically in Amanfro Iron city, celebrated its 19th anniversary on August 2, 2025. The occasion was graced by esteemed dignitaries, including Madam Priscilla Baffoe, General Manageress of Sam Solid Ground Company; Nathaniel Nartey, Administrative Consultant of Sam Solid Ground; Mr. Music Alexander of Ghana Inter School Festival; Pastor Ebenezer Abaidoo, Head Pastor of Assemblies of God, House of Glory Temple; and many others.
The program commenced with a guard of honor by the school’s cadet parade, followed by a powerful worship and praise session by The Vault Studios Crew. The Administrator of the institution, Desmond Halm Aquah, welcomed guests and shared insights on the theme, “Rooted in Excellence, Growing a Greener Tomorrow.” In his speech, he highlighted the continuation of the “Free School Fees Agenda” and the construction of an ultra-modern ICT lab, emphasizing the need to equip students for the digitalized world. He appealed to loved ones, Members of Parliament, and all Ghanaians to support the project, whether financially or with resources.
The program featured excellent performances by Graceland Academy students, including poem recitals, modeling, Taekwondo displays, cultural performances by the Graceland Culture Troupe, news casting, and more. The occasion culminated in a graduation ceremony, certificate and award presentation to outstanding students, and recognition of dedicated teachers. The event concluded with an electrifying performance by the school’s dance group, Beyond the Horizon, marking a successful 19th anniversary celebration.
