The Ghana Police Service, working closely with other security agencies, has today arrested Mr. Daniel Adomako, popularly known on social media as Sir Obama Pokuase.
His arrest forms part of ongoing intelligence-led operations aimed at dismantling networks involved in the illegal possession and display of sophisticated weapons. Investigations are underway into images and videos he allegedly shared on social media, showing individuals openly brandishing illegally acquired firearms.
These targeted operations, which have been running for several weeks, have already resulted in the retrieval of a significant quantity of illegal arms and ammunition.
The Police Service reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to public safety, stressing that it will continue to pursue and root out criminal elements while working to prevent the spread of illegal arms.
Authorities are urging the public to share credible information that can aid these vital operations. Further updates will be shared as investigations progress, in line with due process.
