African Youth Prosperity Forum, a youth group in Ghana has described that the development of the country is in an extremely poor state that needs immediate attention from the leadership to avert the challenges as soon as possible.
Speaking in an interview With GIFTS FM’s Kwaku Mensah Abrampa, Mr. Boakye Djan Kwaku, the President of the African Youth Prosperity Forum noted that it is always sad to discuss the development of Ghana as the first West African state to gain independence because leaders over the years have messed up the country’s destiny and the developmental mindset of our forefathers which has made it difficult for Ghana to progress.

Mr. Boakye Djan Kwaku cited leadership failure as one of the main reasons behind the retrogression of Ghana’s development stressing that most of the leaders in the country are very selfish because they always fight for positions to enrich themselves and their families and not in the interest of the people.
He added that vote buying and monetization of elections have created more harm than good in Ghana because some people have been voted as Members of Parliament while others holding ministerial Positions because of monetization in our politics which they have little or no knowledge about the positions they are holding a situation he said has stuck the growth of the country.
