In a recent statement by Hon. Simons Sekyim, it was highlighted that the Ga-North Municipal Assembly remains unwavering in its commitment to bolstering security and safety measures within the municipality. The assembly’s steadfast support extends to critical areas such as fuel allocation and the maintenance of patrol vehicles, all aimed at enhancing the overall security system.
As the population and property developments in the municipality steadily increase, Hon. Simons Sekyim stressed the necessity of expanding security and safety activities accordingly. Recognizing that neither the central government nor the Assembly can solely meet all the requirements of security and safety personnel, collaborative efforts have become essential.
Among the foremost challenges confronting the Ga-North Assembly is the provision of adequate logistics for the dedicated security and safety personnel working diligently to uphold law and order within the municipality. Hon. Simons Sekyim commended the effectiveness and efficiency of these personnel in maintaining a safe environment for residents and businesses in the Municipality.
In a bid to address these logistical needs and facilitate patrol activities, a breakfast meeting with business men at Korkdam Hotel was convened with the primary objective of raising funds.
“We are delighted to announce that the Ga-North Municipal Assembly allocated 12 motorbikes to the police force, further fortifying their capabilities in ensuring the security and safety of Ga-North residents and businesses” he added.
Additionally, the meeting witnessed a tremendous outpouring of support from local businessmen and other community members. Generous contributions in the form of both motorbikes and financial resources were made to bolster the security personnel’s efforts. These contributions serve as a testament to the community’s dedication to creating a safer and more secure environment for all.
